Parish Finance Council

Purpose:

The Parish Finance Council assists the pastor in the administration of the goods of the parish.

Duties:

• to prepare the annual budget of income and expenditure for the parish, with the direction of the pastor
•  to approve monthly or yearly accounts of income and expenditure
• to prioritize the parish's construction, renovation or repair projects, taking into account the projects' urgency, budget and method of financing
• to approve all parish projects relating to (c) above
• to set up committees for special projects if needed
• to set up regulations for the sound management of ~e goods of the parish
• to foster a good relationship with the Pastoral Council of the parish\to propose 2 (two) persons as signatories for the bank

Composition:

The Finance Council is made up of:

1. the parish priest
2. at least five (5) members at large

Meetings:

Meetings are usually held on the 1st Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm, with the exception of July and August.
